3 years ago, a few language club leaders were meeting in Lyon to discuss about creating together an international network to support and promote the concept of language exchange.
And now we are celebrating the 3rd anniversary of Language Exchange International! Who would have imagined that we would have gone so far! Today, there are more than 40 language clubs over 17 countries in this growing network!
40 cities means 40 different ways to organize language exchange, from small town to capital cities, and as many different experiences to share. And by sharing together between the clubs, we get inspired to start up new events, to reinforce our clubs with new ideas and projects, to promote even more language diversity and intercultural exchange in our cities.
And this is what Language Exchange International is all about. Under the motto, together we are stronger, we want to be the voice of the language clubs, be there to advise and help them when they need and create a global community of language and interculturality lovers!
For the 3rd Anniversary of Language Exchange International, we organized an event called the "Happy Postcard Day" and lot of language clubs did participate! A big thanks to the organizers and the participants! You can find back all the postcards here:

Chers cafés des langues et amis à travers le monde,
Il y a 3 ans, quelques responsables de cafés des langues se rencontraient à Lyon pour discuter de la création d'un réseau international pour soutenir et promouvoir le concept du café des langues.
Et aujourd'hui, nous fêtons le 3ème anniversaire de Language Exchange International ! Qui aurait pu imaginer tout le chemin parcouru ! Aujourd'hui, ce sont plus de 40 villes et 17 pays représentés dans ce réseau en expansion!
40 villes, cela signifie 40 façons différentes d'organiser des rencontres linguistiques, entre une petite ville et une capitale, et autant d'expériences à échanger. Et en échangeant ensemble entre les groupes, nous trouvons l'inspiration pour débuter de nouveaux projets, renforcer nos clubs avec de nouvelles idées et actions pour promouvoir toujours plus la diversité linguistique et l'échange interculturel dans nos villes.
Et c'est tout le but de Language Exchange International ! Avec pour mot d'ordre l'union fait la force, nous voulons être la voix des cafés des langues, les conseiller et les aider dans leurs besoins et créer ainsi une communauté internationale d'amoureux des langues et de l'interculturalité !
Pour son 3ème anniversaire, Language Exchange International a organisé une action "Journée des Cartes Postales" et de nombreux cafés des langues ont participé ! Un grand merci aux organisateurs et aux participants ! Vous pouvez retrouver les cartes postales ici :

Language Exchange International a maintenant 3 ans et nous n'aurions jamais pu atteindre ce cap sans votre soutien. En tant que président de LEi et avec l'ensemble du conseil d'administration, nous disons un grand merci à tous les cafés des langues adhérents de LEi et souhaitons de continuer le bon travail commencé il y a 3 ans et poursuivre le développement du réseau des cafés des langues !
